ABOUT US:
Established in 2011 by Eric Jackman, Jackman Ltd. has matured into an experienced construction management, general contracting, renovation, excavation & drywall firm specializing in commercial fit-outs and multi-residential builds. Our team’s diverse experience has enabled us to build commercial office spaces, home additions, car detailing centers, apartment buildings, parking lots and more.
The expertise and experience we offer is based on industry standards, assuring excellent workmanship from the first day of construction until the turnover of the project. We have a fresh outlook on the construction & drywall industries and offer only the best in quality and timelines for our clients.
Many of our projects have been design-build, and our clients have experienced the benefits of involving us from the earliest concept stages. Having your contractor involved through the design & drawing phase ensures attention is paid to constructability and construction cost. We work closely with the Owner, Architect and Engineers to balance your project’s costs, schedule, functionality and aesthetics. If these factors aren’t balanced, it’s often back to the drawing board to re-design - costing you time and money.
We employ local carpenters, machine operators, general labourers, skilled labourers, site superintendents and project managers to help you achieve your vision. This allows us to offer a wide scope of services from simple budgeting assistance to site supervision to full management through project completion.
We’ve worked with homeowners renovating their kitchens, large design-build projects with Honda & Ford, as well as some of Kitchener’s biggest tech firms like eSentire, Thalmic Labs/North & Terminal. From the simple to the lavish, we've experienced it all and we look forward to helping you every step of the way.

$17,500 Donation to House of Friendship from 4th Annual Jackman Charity Golf Tournament
Yesterday, on World Kindness Day, our Jackman Management Team had the pleasure of presenting House of Friendship with a cheque for $17,500 that was raised from our 2024 Jackman Charity Golf Tournament, held this past September at Rebel Creek Golf Club.
We were honored to provide this donation to the hard-working staff who provide support and resources for the over 40,000 people across the KW region, who are in need of adequate food, housing and community resources or addiction treatment.
We could not be prouder to be a part of their bigger picture, and see our contribution help those in need in our community.
We would also like to Thank YOU - the 182 amazing clients, customers, vendors, staff and volunteers who participated in, and supported the tournament. We have always enjoyed having a fun day on the links with our Jackman partners, but seeing the impact we can collectively make on a larger scale has become our new drive to continue to make this day possible.

$1000 Raised for Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region in Mother’s Day Flower Fundraiser
May 10, 2024
In just 3 short weeks, we were able to raise $1000 for the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo!
We are so very proud to be able to continually support local initiatives and charities year-round with the support of our amazing staff, clients and community members. Here is what SASCWR had to say:
Amidst challenges faced by survivors after an assault, your kindness illuminates the path to healing.
We know that the road to healing for survivors can be fraught with obstacles; experiences of sexual violence are often diminished and dismissed, leading to intensified feelings of shame, isolation, and fear.
But then, there are wayfinders, just like you.
Your gift clears the path; it lets survivors know they are heard, seen, and believed. Also, you help create a place on the map where survivors will never be alone with your support of SASC.
When survivors walk through our doors, they are wrapped in community care. Through counselling, advocacy, court, police and hospital accompaniments, practical assistance and more, we walk alongside survivors as they continue their healing journey. Ultimately, we celebrate their resilience as they step into a hopeful future.
You make this work possible. By donating to SASC, you have joined a community of others who put hope, healing, and resilience on the map.
Thank you for your donation. We offer a few parting words from one survivor who was recently supported at SASC below:
“The amazing quality of counseling offered by this rainbow of understanding souls has brought me to a place where I can enjoy doing things for myself. This agency has helped me care for myself mentally and physically. I am beyond grateful. I know the healing work I have been doing wouldn't have been possible without this service.” – SASC Client, 2023
On behalf of our entire team at SASC and every survivor we serve, we are grateful to you for being a partner in this work.
With gratitude,

Terenzina, Home Owner
“We decided to add an additional 700 sq ft of living space to our 35 year old Beechwood home in Waterloo. My husband designed the addition and Jackman made his vision come to life. It was a big job with lots of excavation work, intricate brick work, lots of massive windows, and careful attention to foundations. Every detail was considered carefully and professionally. The team at Jackman took all of our design ideas into consideration and made us feel like valued clients. The result is stunning and has really increased our enjoyment of the family room and basement recreation room. We would not hesitate to recommend Jackman to anyone looking to do a major or minor renovation.”
Nicole, Cambridge Honda
“We've worked with Jackman on two projects to date and both times have been impressed by the quality of work, the ability to meet deadlines, and the common-sense approach to building projects. If you are looking for a general contractor that can work within your budget, on time, and in a professional manner talk with the friendly people at Jackman.”
Investing In Our WOmen
February 14, 2024
This year, we have started quite a few new initiatives throughout all the Jackman companies and one of them is investing in the women of Jackman Ltd.
Each department has a handful of wonderful women who keep the ship running. From Marketing, Administration, Payroll, Scheduling, Project Coordination, Skilled Labourers and Tradeswomen, Estimation and Design, these women are such an integral part of our team and we are grateful for the skills they bring to our teams.
“We are all proud to be members of this community and part of the Construction industry and definitely plan on bringing the insight we learn back to the office and work-sites to help encourage inclusivity and equity every day”.
We are excited to see what more is in store for the future of our Women in Construction and what we can do to growing our inclusive and empowering workplace even bigger.
HOLIDAY MAMAS FOR MAMAS DRIVE: A HUGE SUCCESS
December 21, 2023
In December we decided to run our annual holiday drive but with a twist this season! This year we decided to support a local charity: Mama’s For Mama’s. Their mission is to change the landscape of poverty through innovative approaches to financial barriers faced by struggling families. They offer individualized help navigating the available resources for food security, affordable housing, education, and access to their in-house mental health team where counselling is available at no cost for those who qualify.
Our goal was to gather as many non-perishable food items, personal and household supplies, clothing and toys, and monetary donations as possible to help many Christmas baskets for their families in need.
This season we succeeded and were able to stock their stores with over 200 toys, 200lbs of non-perishable food, 100+lbs of non-perishable supplies and products, and over 250lbs of clothing for women and children of all ages. We were so proud to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause.
After the holiday we heard from Mama’s For Mama’s that our donation was the ‘biggest to date’ and was able to re-stock some of their most frequently needed items as well as bringing so much joy to families in need over the holiday season. We could not be more happy to be involved in our local community and do what we can to help see a need filled!
Follow the QR Code to the right to watch the Mama’s For Mama’s reel when we dropped it all off.
Kim C. Community Member
“I have not used Jackman for a construction project but, I am a resident who lives a few doors away from a project they are currently contracted for. I give them kudos as they put up the appropriate signage which makes a huge difference!!! They respect the neighbors when they arrive to set up before 7 am. They clean the dirt and debris from the site entrance regularly which is very important to those of us who ride motorcycles. The flag men, dump trucks and various contractors have been alert, friendly and respectful of all.
We will always have construction but working with the community instead of causing grief makes a difference.”
Samantha, Operations Manager at Terminal
“We have worked with Jackman Construction on two projects so far. Their entire team is very professional. They are transparent throughout the process and in billing. When issues arose they are quick to find solutions and offer options if there is concern that timeline or budget would be affected. Over all we are very impressed with their work and would definitely recommend their services.“
Proud Community Supporters:
We continue to engage with the community on three levels:
Hiring local suppliers and subcontractors to work with us to deliver projects.
Communicating with local organizations and residents regarding large or longer-term projects where construction may affect the community.
Directly engaging in community investment programs and initiatives that help build communities.
In 2024 we want to spend more time being involved in our community, growing and investing in these levels to help inspire other home-grown businesses like ours.
We are proud and active members of the following associations:
Ross, Homeowner
“We recently completed a bathroom renovation and replacement of all interior doors/frames/casings where we used Jackman Renovation as our contractor. It was time to wave goodbye to our bathroom as previously renovated about 28 years ago and the original 1960’s doors. The exercise involved tearing out all fixtures, cabinetry, tub, floor/wall tiles, doors and starting from scratch. We met with Nathan and Jordan from Jackman at our house and at the Jackman office to develop a quote. It was apparent right from the start that Jackman would (hopefully) be easy to work with. Lots of good suggestions came forward in areas where we were still not sure of how to proceed.
Good recommendations were given regarding suppliers along with a willingness to work with suppliers we may have had on our own. This made us comfortable enough to accept the quote and begin work. Over the course of the actual renovation we met a number of skilled trades people. A steady presence through all of the people and the work was Mike, from Jackman. Mike was great about explaining the work, answering questions, and coming up with innovative suggestions for dealing with various situations. And as anyone who has been through a renovation knows, there is always a curveball or two thrown your way. Our curveballs were handled professionally and kept disruption to the timeline to a minimum which was appreciated.
In the end, we knew that our renovation was a relatively small job for Jackman but we felt like we were being treated with the same respect and importance as a larger job. Thank you, Jackman!”
BROCK, HomeOwner
“I had water damage on my ceiling due to a water leak in my home. The Jackman construction team removed and repaired the old drywall then drywalled, sanded, taped and even matched my California texture perfectly. They did all the work in a timely manner and took all measures to keep a clean work area and to prevent dust going into our living spaces. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer or use them again as all employees were professional and treated my home like their own. Thanks again for the quality work.”
Kitchener’s Great Places Awards

A building that we have had great pride in being a part of and hope to be part of more projects like this one in the future.
As stated last night, we are a proud local business that is “building more than structures; we are building legacies of inspiration." In all the years we have been in business, we aim to create projects that not only that are breathtaking to behold, creative in nature, and fulfill the vision of our clients, but ultimately enhance the community around us. We are a firm believer in giving back and investing in the future of our clients, our staff and our invaluable supporters out there. Over 13K for Lutherwood Children’s Mental Health Services
November 3rd, 2023
Just over a month ago, on September 22, 2023, at Rebel Creek Golf Club, an amazing group of businesses, clients and staff came together to play golf and raise funds for an integral, local organization. Lutherwood Children's Mental Health Services helps children and youth across the region and is unbelievably important in so many ways.
Mary-Jo, Assistant Director of Development & Communications, had this to say:
“Last year, we helped the equivalent of 109 full classes of children and youth needing mental health treatment. Each one of those 2700 kids have individual mental health challenges that need to be addressed. This year, we are on track to help even more kids in our community. This year, we are on track to help even more kids. Because of the generosity of Jackman Construction, the sponsors and players at this year’s Jackman Construction golf tournament we will be able to provide 267 individual sessions, therapeutic recreation sessions and music therapy sessions".
With the generosity of all the amazing sponsors, staff and clients, we are so happy, to be able to give just over $13K to an organization that clearly has had an impact on so many families and we hope with this contribution they can continue that work. Thank you again to everyone who came out in support, for all the hard work and time, we could not have done it without you!

The Woodside Terraces
This is The Woodside at 270 Spadina Ave and this project has finally rounded it’s 2nd phase completion, at the end of August 2023.
This project has been in the works for 2 years and had undergone many extensive upgrades to the existing buildings (2 phases) including an underground parking garage, surface level parking and more. There are 90 units in total in Phase 2 and the building began filling them in July. Phase 1 remained occupied during their current upgrades.
Our amazing Drywall and Construction teams, and the wonderful #subcontractors who we worked with really worked hard to produce a building for quality-living.
As big thank you to The Woodside, Hawkeye Films and The Rose Corporation for being the dream team on different aspects of this project. We can’t wait to break ground on Phase 3.

GREG, Building Operations Supervisor at Perimeter Development
“Jackman is the full package. From project start to completion, both from the office and the field, their personal work with confidence and professionalism to turn over completed high end office space for us. Jackman is courteous towards the existing clientele in our buildings, they work with professional sub-trades, and have come to the table often when we needed them in a crunch. It is a pleasure to continue working with Jackman Construction.”
RYAN, Project Coordinator at Fusion Homes
“The work you did at lot 48 this week with the ceiling was phenomenal and Peter the GM was extremely happy with your crew, along with the homeowner.”
12 Years and COunting
July 19, 2023
What started off as a small renovation and drywall company in Eric's garage, paid for by a yearly tax return, and with Carl, our first and longest running employee, Jackman Ltd., has now grown into a multi-division, +50 full-time employee operation.
While we were not able to celebrate our 10th anniversary as we would have liked due to Covid, we still wanted to recognize and share in surpassing this milestone with you all.
Cheers to 12 great years of working with the City's best construction staff, suppliers, and sub contractors - you are what makes this all possible!

Changing the footprint of Downtown Kitchener with new Technology!
July 15, 2020
Building with wood isn’t a new idea. What is new is the technology that allows the use of wood for the structure on a commercial scale. Canadian wood from Canadian trees are turned into glulam columns and nail laminated timber (NLT) panels by Timmerman Timberworks at their Ontario facility, resulting in an exceptional building that combines the natural warmth and beauty of wood with the technology and conveniences you expect in a modern workspace. One Young Street is the first new Mass Timber building in Waterloo Region.
All the benefits of a century Brick and Beam building—exposed wood, tall ceilings, the character and charm of loft space— but modern, with none of the complications of an older structure.
One Young Street, a unique space in KW’s prime downtown location and recent winner of Kitchener’s Great Places Award for ‘People’s Choice’ 2023.
