Passage House: Mass Timber Rapid Housing Pilot

In 2022 we completed the prefabricated Passage House for R-Hauz in seven months. The two-storey, 18-unit transitional housing building in East Gwillimbury was built with Element5 in mass timber for York Region and the Blue Door Shelter Program.

In 2022 we completed the prefabricated Passage House for R-Hauz in seven months. The building is in the Town of East Gwillimbury.

Passage House is a two-storey, 18-unit transitional housing shelter under York Region and the Blue Door Shelter Program. We built it in partnership with Element5, using mass timber.

The building is highly sustainable and thermally efficient, with exposed wood throughout to support health and wellness.
